Lift-Pit Waterproofing
Lift-Pits are usually the lowest part of a building. Water accumulates around the base of the lift shaft with and route to escape. To ensure the lift components do don't rust, flood,or short out electrical equipment or compromise safety of people using the lift you will need an effective waterproofing Membrane that lasts.
POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE WATERPROOFING
You can waterproof a lift on either the positive or the negative side of the concrete wall. Always the best way to waterproof a lift is on the positive side.
CURING TIME
Waterproofing always needs time to cure before you can backfill or fill with water. With the cement based waterproofing products that we use we require 2 days curing before backfill. To fully cure it needs 14 days before it can be completely filled with water.
